Instagram is constantly rolling out updates which can feel overwhelming. Do you feel like you can’t keep up with all the latest and greatest new features? You’re not alone. In this post, we’ll highlight three IG features that you may have missed so you can add these tools to your social media marketing kit and bring awareness to your coworking space brand.
Reels Templates
The Reels Template on Instagram allows you to create short-form video content that can be shared on the Reels section of the Explore page and your Instagram feed. Reels templates are only available for reels with multiple clips that have been edited together within IG. If the template is available, you’ll see a ‘use template’ sticker icon above the creator of the reel. You can also enter the ‘Reels’ tab and try the following:
- Tap the camera icon
- Slide to the templates tab within the video editor to see your options
- Before you start recording, you can select creative tools to enhance your video
- Once you’re ready to record, press and hold the record button. You can record multiple clips that can be edited together
- Once you have recorded your clips, you can trim them, add effects and filters, and adjust the speed of your video
- Share your reel and add a caption, hashtags, etc.
The Reels Template is a great way to create engaging video content that can help you reach a wider audience on Instagram. With the right tools and techniques, you can create Reels that showcase your coworking brand that are entertaining, informative, and shareable.
Grid Pinning
Grid Pinning allows you to feature specific posts at the top of your Instagram profile page, making them more visible and accessible to your followers. This is an extremely easy way to highlight your most valuable content such as promotions or member events. Here’s how to use Instagram Grid Pinning:
- Open your profile
- Select the post that you want to pin to the top of your profile grid
- Tap on the three dots (ellipsis) icon located in the top right corner of the post
- Choose “Pin to Profile” from the list of options that appears
- Drag and drop the post to the desired location at the top of your profile grid. You can also move it around and replace it with another post if you change your mind.
- Tap “Done” to save your changes and exit the pinning mode
From now on, the pinned post will remain at the top of your profile grid even if you add new content or update your profile. This feature is particularly useful for promoting new products or services, showcasing your best work, or drawing attention to specific posts about your flex office space that you want your followers to see.

Dual Camera
The Dual feature allows you to utilize both your front and rear-facing cameras at once. This feature is great for capturing reactions or interactions between your coworking members and teammates, or for creating unique content that incorporates multiple perspectives. Here’s how to use the Instagram Dual Camera feature:
- Open the Instagram app and swipe left to access the camera screen and select the “Dual” option
- Before you start recording, you can adjust the speed, set a timer, add music, and select other creative tools that you can use to enhance your video
- Press and hold the record button to start recording your video. The Dual Camera feature will simultaneously capture video footage from both the front and rear-facing cameras.
- Once you have recorded your video, you can edit it by adding filters, effects, music, and other creative tools
- Share your video and add mentions, captions, and hashtags
Note that the Dual Camera feature is only available on devices that support it, such as newer iPhone and Android models. If you don’t see the Dual Camera option in your Instagram camera settings, your device may not support this feature.
If you haven’t tried any of these IG features yet, you should consider adding them to your social media marketing mix. Learning to leverage tools like this can help you optimize your content creation and increase audience engagement. Which feature do you think you’ll be using the most to showcase your coworking space community?
